Our Story
We at Nikalas Foundation are putting our best efforts towards improvement in the quality of school education and making schools a better and relevant place for the underprivileged children across India.
We carry the legacy of high-quality school education from our parent organization, Somalwar Education Society, a 112 years old educational institution based in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
Nikalas Foundation is a medium of propagating premium educational practices inherited from the parent body for the benefit of marginalized children and schools.
Nikalas Foundation is expanding its outreach year on year and deepening its impact under the able leadership of CA Rohit Somalwar.
Our ultimate aim is to develop creators for young India from the underserved section of India.
ANUBHAV
ANUBHAV is our flagship program that stands for Anubhavatmak Shiksha, meaning learning through experiences. Through ANUBHAV, we aim to instill a culture of application-based learning in the school education system, significantly improving learning outcomes. It is a relevant, easy-to-implement, technology-independent program aligned with the National Education Policy-2020, NIPUN Bharat Mission, and the National Achievement Survey (NAS).
ANUBHAV is our contribution to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all children by 2030.
The Impact
We have completed 41 projects of Anubhav Program in 4 different states and have impacted the day to day teaching-learning process of 7300+ marginalised children so far. Our feedback mechanism and the third party impact evaluation reports have motivated us to set an ambitious target of reaching out to 10000+ children in the year 2024-25. In this journey, we need support from all the change-makers like you. Together, lets transform the lives of these children through high quality school education.
